Cayucos is a classic California surf town in Northern San Luis Obispo county. Accessible and just a short drive from Los Osos, Morro Bay, Atascadero, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo & Templeton.This is a great option for beginner and intermediate surfers. After the lesson there are some hidden gems to eat at just a few steps from the beach. There is a swing set on the beach for kids, and also a half pipe to skate for the older kids.

If you would like to get away from the summer crowds of Pismo Beach and surf with less people then Cayucos is a great option. Most of the year this beach gets much less swell than Pismo, and Morro Bay. When other beaches can have 3-5 foot faces Cayucos offers a much smaller and gentler wave due to its geographical location tucked away in the northern  part of the Estro Bay with a South-West facing shoreline. Cayucos can also offer wind protection compared to Morro Bay and Pismo Beach that catch the brunt of the North-West wind in the afternoons.
